For Ken's Sharp 7th album, "I'll Remember the Laughter," he's delivering something extra super-sized, an album that features a whopping 50 songs.
"Like most people, the pandemic turned my world upside down, but in that isolation, I was deeply inspired and found solace in creativity, writing/recording my music, and this robust productivity spurred the creation of some of my best music," relates Sharp.
Akin to his own "White Album," the record displays all the various strands in Sharp's musical DNA--power pop, Phily soul, glam rock, psych-pop, Spector/Brill Building inspired pop, big ballads, R&B, baroque pop, folk ditties plus a few favorite covers-- "The Kids are Alright" (The Who), "Girl" (Davy Jones), "Comic Book Heroes" and "I'm Your Superman" (Rick Springfield) and "Mr. Make Believe," a Beatlesque number from Gene Simmons' 1978 solo album.
GRAMMY Award winning artist Rick Springfield guests on backing vocals on Ken's covers of two songs culled from Rick's 1973 album, "Comic Book Heroes." The album is also graced with special appearances by Roger Manning (Jellyfish) and Rob Bonfiglio and Probyn Gregory from Brian Wilson's touring band.
